The Space

Conveniently located in Seattle’s historic SoDo neighborhood, this studio is ideal for product shoots, portrait shoots and video shoots. The large cyclorama wall - AKA cyc or infinity wall - is ideal for wide shots or multi angles.

The studio has two large west facing windows that allow in a lot of natural light, especially in the afternoon. If you’d like the light blocked out, that can be arranged. The cyc wall is entirely white (but for the right price… we can make it any color you desire). This studio also includes a paper roll available for your use, on a wall next to the cync wall. This studio is a total production chameleon - giving you total control over the environment, unless there’s glitter in which case you’ve lost all control and probably your dad’s respect. This studio is idea for all types of shoots and includes a dressing room as well as a hair and make up space. The space does not have running water (yet) though running water is available in the restrooms down the hall. There is a paper roll mounted and ready for your use and a small array of lighting equipment available upon request. The building exterior is brick and west facing, making it ideal for golden hour shots accent the day’s work.

The studio is just a few hundred feet from the waterfront, so gritty action shots of that dope waxed canvas jacket is an easy transition from the in-studio product shoot of pure Eagle essence beard cream that you did first. Beards first, jackets second. Everyone knows that.

Our on site production manager is available for whatever you may need or any questions you have. The production manager can help you to our grip equipment, which is included with studio rentals on a first come, first served basis (three studios are available for rent with one central gear room and our gear list is always growing).

Parking is provided for two vehicles. Heating and cooling equipment is available for the one hot day we get per year and the rest of the time, for the bone-chilling Seattle cold that made you the artist you are.

Please note that the sound proof-ness of the room cannot be guaranteed, particularly during home game days for the Mariners, Sounders or Seahawks given our location just across from Safeco Field.

This studio has a no-glitter policy. The market for glitter cyc walls is very small and we’d like to stay in the white cync wall market. If you have questions about this, just ask and we can clarify what type of weaponized glitter we do not allow.

Jokes aside, want to check it out before you book? We are more than happy to offer a tour of any or all of our three studios, just ask!

NO SMOKING in the building or near the entrances, no open fire. There’s a fog machine available though for that smoke shot.

OVERTIME might be possible, and its duration completely depends on the studio schedule. Please inform us about possible or desirable overtime during the booking process, and we will consider that in the studio schedule.
Please note, if you start wrapping up after the end of the booking or just forget about timing - these are overtime conditions, and Spacefinder will charge your card for additional 30 min at regular price.

PENALTY: If we have next booking in 1 hr after yours and you go overtime, Spacefinder will charge your card 1.5 regular rate.

Cancellation Policy

EXTRAORDINARIES: If your project involves more than 10 people (+$5/hour for each extra person), furry/big/wild animals, sand/dirt/paint/glitter or similar materials, please, inform us beforehand so that we can work out a safe implementation. Possible cleaning fees will apply.
