Issaquah Depot Museum
78 First Avenue ne, Issaquah

The Building
The Issaquah Train Depot was originally constructed in 1889 for the Seattle Lake Shore & Eastern Railroad. Between 1983 and 1992, the Depot was lovingly restored completely through volunteer efforts from Issaquah History Museums and the community. Today, the Depot serves as a local history museum. Its freight room is available for rental and will provide an historic setting for your next special event.
Located on the south end of the building, the Freight Room boasts original wood flooring and walls. Looking carefully at the walls, you can see the lumber stamp “Geo. W. Tibbetts & Co. Squak Valley.” The room also features a mural depicting the town’s early history. Outside, a vintage caboose and other rail cars are on display. If your rental coincides with the museum’s open hours, there is no charge to visit (although donations are appreciated) and your guests are welcome to visit. If your rental is outside of the museum’s open hours, for an additional fee, we can arrange a guided tour for you and your guests.
