The Space

A vintage theater from the 30’s. The Jewel Box seats up to 65 audience members and is a small proscenium fully equipped theater. The theater has a screen and projector and a small backstage area.

The Building

The Rendezvous, a full service bar and restaurant, houses three unique performance and gathering spaces. The Jewel Box is a 65 seat proscenium theater; The Grotto is an intimate 45 seat speakeasy style space; the Red Velvet Lounge is a salon style space perfect for casual readings, meetings and performances. Built in 1927, The Rendezvous was the social epicenter of film row hiding a speakeasy in the basement during prohibition.

Hours

The Rendezvous Bar and Restaurant is open Seven Days a Week from
3PM -2AM.  Shows, music and events are listed on our calendar website.

Parking

4 Hour metered street parking available. Free on Sundays and after 8PM>
Lots are located on Third Avenue directly behind the Rendezvous or on First Avenue (the stairs from the First Avenue parking lot up to Second Avenue are directly across the street from the Rendezvous).
