The Space
Side Rail Collective has multiple private studio spaces available for monthly rent inside our interdisciplinary artist workspace in Georgetown. This is a dedicated studio suited to an artist or artists who want a stable home base while remaining part of a collaborative creative community.

- Private studio within Side Rail Collective, available for individual or shared rental
- Month-to-month rent with minimum one-year commitment
- Up to 4 hours use per month of our shared Nomad Studio, to host your own public or private workshops or creative events
- Opportunities to display art in Members and other exhibitions in our shared Gallery
- Access to shared spaces, Members’ events, and community programming
- Kiln access beginning in early 2026 as our new kiln comes online
Who this is for
This studio is ideal for an independent artist or small practice looking for a consistent workspace while remaining connected to a wider network of makers working across disciplines. Side Rail’s community includes jewelers, painters, installation artists, mixed-media makers, and craft practitioners.

About Side Rail Collective
Side Rail Collective is an artist-run workspace and exhibition hub in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. The studio brings together artists working across craft, design, and contemporary art, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary practice and mutual support.

Side Rail offers many ways to engage as a Member, with access to our shared studio starting at $40/mo, and private studios with monthly fees which range based on square footage, currently starting at $185/mo for 54 sqft of private space.

The Building
Side Rail Collective is expanding!
Once a dance hall, historic Bertoldi Hall in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle is now home to Side Rail Artists’ Collective. Our space includes eight working artists’ studios as well as a gallery, kitchen, and flexible use event spaces.
Side Rail Collective is now offering artist memberships with shared access to our new Nomad Studio, featuring a community arts workspace with small storage plus shared tools & supplies. Members joining at levels 2 and 3 also enjoy use of our shared Gallery, which is featured among destinations in Georgetown’s Art Attack art walk.

You’ll find our entrance on the north side of the building, via the double green doors. Given the long staircase to our second story location, Side Rail Collective is not currently ADA accessible.
