The Space
Once upon a time in North Seattle, there was a welcoming magical musical place called The LAB (Little Auditorium in the Back) curated by Seattle Drum school of Music. It was where musicians of all ages experienced their first live performances, and where international bands such as the Arctic Monkeys played.
Now the legacy has been carried on at The LAB at 1010, located at the Seattle Drum School of Music’s Georgetown facility. The LAB at 1010 is an intimate Music and Performance venue for All Ages. This charming space comes complete with a stage and lighting for your theatrical imagery, two entrances and two multi-stall restrooms*, capacity 75**, with free parking and immediate access to the freeway.
Its purpose is to provide a safe, positive, and inspiring environment for musicians of all ages to explore and share their passion for music! Over the years we’ve hosted dozens of drum clinics, master classes, and music industry seminars featuring such renowned artists as David Garibaldi, Billy Kilson, Jim Chapin, Freddy Gruber, Dom Famularo, Mike Clark, Stanton Moore, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Martin Atkins, Will Kennedy, Chris Johnson, and many others. Room acoustics and sound quality were the highest priorities in its design, and today it’s known for its cool vibe and warm atmosphere.
