The Space

I have a rare space opening up starting anytime in May — 9.5 x 16.2 ft, $410/mo. This one doesn’t have a window but does have a nice skylight & high 12’ walls. There’s a 4-plex outlet on the ceiling to rig up custom lighting, with a switch on the wall so you don’t have to keep climbing up there to turn things on. It also has it’s own vent fan and heater.

If this isn’t quite right for you but you like the location, artists already in the building are first in line when a bigger room opens up. This is a great location just a block from the light rail, street car, and many bus routes – even the ferries are close by. It’s also just a few blocks from the Pioneer Square galleries. The I.D. is an interesting neighborhood with funky stores & restaurants — so you’ll never go hungry here and there’s plenty to see if you need a break from a room with no windows!

The Building

519 art studios is a group of work spaces for visual artists in downtown Seattle. We’re located on the 2nd floor of the HT Kubota Building in the Japantown area of the I.D. a few blocks from the Pioneer Square art galleries.

Parking

This is an excellent spot for public transportation - light rail & street car both stop a block away on Jackson, plus a number of major bus routes stop very close by. Parking is either metered parking on the street (free after 8pm), or many pay lots in the neighborhood.
